Everywhere I go, I carry the book I am reading at the time. I grab 5 minutes here and there whenever I can. I love to read and so does my daughter. Since I don’t travel much, I would give this Kindle to my daughter who is an even more voracious reader then I. She works a lot and travels a lot and this would be a great addition for her since she reads so fast she usually has to take many books with her on her travels. This way, she can just take the Kindle 2 and it would be so easy for her. Thanks so much for this chance, we appreciate this contest.

I really would like to have this chance to win the Kindle for my kids because I home school and they have a lot of books to read. My main problem – I do not know anything about blogging other than reading them. I also do not know anything about twitter. Where would I write the post at? What about tweeting?

I am trying to cut the cost of home schooling and have been looking at the Kindle for a long time. Currently I am having to print their books and bind them myself due to the curriculum I use. I could just download their books for free on the Kindle because all of the books are online for free. Anyway I have a very long list of books that needs to be printed unless I get this Kindle. My kids love to read (more than 2 hours a day) and this would help me greatly.

My mom is 67, has had a lot of medical issues, geez I sound like I’m trying to win a pity vote, but I’m not I’d just love to win a Kindle 2 to give to my mom since she does travel a lot to my sister’s in Brooklyn New York to visit the grandkids.

The kindle will help improve my life because a while back I remodeled a room in my house to place all of my books in. After remodeling, the room currently has six, large extra tall 5-shelf bookcases, two 3-shelf mid size bookcases, and one rolling 5-shelf book cart. They are all full. Triple stacked to the back and up to three books stacked high. I also have books on top of the bookcases because they would otherwise then be on the floor.

After finishing this room (and subsequently seeing my chiropractor) I realized I have far to many books for me to ever move again.

Now, how the kindle will help improve my reading? Well, I will buy books again! Since I have not done that since this whole affair began. I will also have the chance to slim down on the physical books I own and perhaps actually have a manageable collection.

I’m not sure if you meant post in this comment area, or if we can post anywhere; so I guess I’ll do both I’ll be posting a blog on my MySpace if you wish to look (link provided in comment box, I think you can click my name to get to it).

I’m an actor in his 9 month in LA! I’m on a tight budget and can afford few extraneous purchases (the occasional go to a movie is ok, I’m ‘researching my craft’). But there’s no way I can afford a Kindle.

When I’m on a set (I do a lot of background work), there is a LOT of downtime. Most of the time I like to bring books! The Kindle would save me lots of carrying around books, and provide me hours upon hours of entertainment while we sit around waiting on a set! I’m also a bit of a minimalist and don’t like having a lot of stuff. Being able to “have” a lot of books stored in the Kindle means I can get rid of some of the books I have (perhaps snagging a bit of cash on eBay so I can buy some food).

Anyway, the Kindle would be an amazing prize, and make my life a lot more entertaining, and spare me some money as I try to survive out here in the acting jungle. Thanks for a chance to win!

The kindle two would improve my life in a few ways. As a student just about to start college to get my literature degree, it would make reading and finding information easier.

Another way would be when i set forth my 50-state car ride. I love learning new things, as any writer who enjoys inspiration, since i was young i’ve saved for this trip. Reading the lates books, e-mails and so forth would improve my learning while leaving my bag light.

1- A Kindle would improve my reading habits for plenty of reasons. One being I’ll be able to stop wasting so much paper printing out articles/research papers/essays because I can just convert the PDF’s and read them on the Kindle… That, or I won’t sit in front of a computer monitor hurting my eyes by reading them without printing out paper copies. I will also stop hefting around too many books with me throwing off my already messed up back – especially when I go to grad school this fall.

Lisa (lvelasco) above me told me about the contest. We are both trying to win one. Having the Kindle would make life as a busy Mom way easier leaving less to haul around as you go from place to place waiting. I can load books I read myself as well as series I read to my child everyday in one small place.
